As Usual

I've had this link open for 3 days now, but nothing would really come to mind that I wanted to type.
My life is pretty uneventful at the moment. Since the operation I'm only working part-time which is a bit of a shock to my system. I'm so used to being busy, God has used this time to make me stop and do stocktake.
I find myself tired quite often which makes it hard to keep up with friends or housework. Thankfully, I have some good friends who visit and call me and make me feel loved, and I have a very special Mum who drives almost 3 hours round trip to come and wash/change my bedsheets!

That's all for now....

What was your childhood dream?

We dream of being different things as we grow up. Our dreams often change and as a teenager we rarely want to be what we wanted when we were just 5.
When I was 5, I wanted to be a fireman and a princess.
When I was 16, I wanted to be a vet. I even did my school work experience at Sydney Uni vet science department.
At 17, I wanted to be a primary teacher. So I did some work experience at my local primary school. The Kindy kids were cute, but not really my scene.

We can dream and plan our lives, but it is often a surprise where God leads us.
I often marvel at how different my life is to what I was expecting.

And People Say I'm a Greek Nerd!

holidays!

I spent 10 days visiting a friend in NZ. My first holiday all year! And it was amazing. It was great to catch up and see the sights.
Unfortunately she had to work a couple of the days I was there - but I just borrowed the car and went road-tripping around the local area. The pic above is from one of those days. It was a winding road down to the beach without many spots to turn pull off and take pics. So I just looped the camera around my wrist and took pics as I was driving!
